A series of paintings that although abstract, depict an exploration in nature. Interested in a keen sense of observation and evoking a feeling of "I've seen a path like this before" while taking a walk in nature. I am interested in the abstraction of forms without being too literal in my forms or colors but we can certainly see the natural world within my paintings. Building up transparent washes of ink and paint along with delicate, gestural marks, layering graphite, pastel and charcoal. Thickly painted areas add bold contrast, inviting the viewer's eye to meander through the composition.
