I was born in Montreal, Canada, studied fine art in Vancouver and textile design in Paris. My work as a textile designer allowed me to spend my formative years in France, Italy and Spain. This created a fertile ground for my later work as a graphic designer and painter.
My work juxtaposes bold, organic and architectural shapes and unusual colour combinations with dramatic mark-making that reflect an intuitive style. I love graffiti-inspired typography that speaks to language without being literal. The abstract images that form my art are visuals that interest me in day to day life. They are true reflections of what I see around me.
I currently work in mixed media, printmaking and monotypes, combining cold wax, acrylic, graphite, ink, gouache and charcoal.
