Drawing Wall Series

A study in texture and feeling, the Drawing Wall series delves into what it is to see, touch and feel the land we exist on. Sometimes a distant memory, sometimes a more recent experience. Sometimes something mundane as sitting in front of a window with a cup of tea and the raindrops slipping down the pane.

Responding to the mostly happy accidents of wet working in wet, I use palette knives, scrapers and various sizes of handmade and commercial mark making tools until the surface is sufficiently worked and resembles a wall with many years of patina.
